Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Refund Eligibility

1.1 Eligible for Refund

You are eligible for a refund if:

  • You request a refund within 7 days of purchase
  • You have NOT used any contact unlocks from your membership
  • You have a valid reason (technical issues, duplicate payment, service not as described)
  • Payment was successfully processed but membership was not activated

1.2 NOT Eligible for Refund

You are NOT eligible if:

  • More than 7 days have passed since purchase
  • You have unlocked any contact details (email or phone numbers)
  • You have sent messages to other members using premium features
  • You violated our Terms and Conditions and account was terminated
  • Membership expired due to time lapse (no refund for unused time)

2. Refund Amount Calculation (GST Deduction)

2.1 GST and Payment Gateway Charges

All refunds are subject to mandatory deductions:

  • GST Amount (18%): Non-refundable to customer as it's already paid to the government
  • Payment Gateway Charges (2-3%): Transaction fees charged by Razorpay

Formula:
Membership Price = Base Amount + GST (18%)
Refundable Amount = Base Amount - Payment Gateway Fee (2-3%)

2.2 Refund Calculation Example

Example: For a membership priced at ₹299

  • • Total Paid: ₹299
  • • GST Amount (18%): ₹45.66 (deducted)
  • • Base Amount: ₹253.34
  • • Payment Gateway Fee (2.5%): ₹6.33 (deducted)
  • • Customer Receives: ₹247.01

*The exact refund amount depends on your membership price and payment method used. Gateway fees vary between 2-3% based on payment method (UPI, Cards, Net Banking).

3. Refund Request Process

3.1 How to Request Refund

Step 1: Log in to your account
Step 2: Go to Settings → Membership → Request Refund

Email us: support@shagunbapla.in with subject "Refund Request - [Order ID]"

3.2 Information Required

  • Order ID / Payment ID (found in payment confirmation email)
  • Registered email address
  • Phone number
  • Reason for refund
  • Bank account details for refund credit:
    • Account Holder Name (as per bank account)
    • Bank Account Number
    • IFSC Code
    • Bank Name and Branch
    • UPI ID (if applicable, for faster refunds)

4. Refund Processing Timeline

4.1 Verification Period

  • 1-2 business days: We verify your refund eligibility
  • Check if contact unlocks were used
  • Verify membership usage and purchase date
  • Review reason for refund request

4.2 Bank Credit Time

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days
  • UPI: 1-3 business days
  • Net Banking: 5-7 business days
  • Wallets: 3-5 business days

Total Timeline: Expect refund in your account within 7-10 business days from request date

5. GST Refund Explanation

5.1 Why GST is Not Refundable to Customer

  • GST (Goods and Services Tax) at 18% is collected by us on behalf of the Government of India
  • This amount is already deposited with tax authorities as per GST law
  • When we refund, the GST component cannot be recovered from government
  • The customer does not receive the GST portion in refunds
